D-Day Piper returns to Normandy
D-day Piper Bill Millin returned to Normandy for 66th anniversary of the D-Day Landings. Millin served in 1st Special Service Brigade and landed on Sword Beach at dawn on June 6th 1944. Playing his bagpipes for the brigade commander Brigadier Lord Lovat, Millin led the troops south to link up with 6th Airborne Division at Pegasus Bridge.
Accompanied by thirty pipers, Piper Millin revisited the Memorial Pegasus on June 5th.
